 Exercises for Fibromyalgia Pain

There are several exercises that will help ease Fibromyalgia pain. Each person is different; therefore, find a plan that works for you. You may only be able to stretch without too much pain or you may be able to get in full aerobic exercises. Whatever you capabilities are, start light and work your way up to more rigorous exercises. Here are a few exercises that will help ease your Fibromyalgia pain.

1. Warm-Ups: To prevent injuries, always make sure to warm up before exercising. Gentle joint rotations starting from your toes and moving towards your head will allow your joints to become more flexible and ready for exercise.

2. Stretching: Stretching lubricates the joints and sends nutrients and oxygen to the muscles. Simple stretch exercises will help relieve Fibromyalgia pain by getting those muscles moving.

3. Isometrics: The next step after stretching is to tense and release your muscles. Tense different muscles throughout your body for about 10 seconds then release and repeat. This may be the only exercise you can do without too much pain, but it is a good one to help relieve the pain you are already feeling.
