The FDA warns against use of Mass Destruction due to a report filed by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services. An healthy 28-year-old male began to take this supplement and after a few weeks fell into liver failure. A transplant was needed to save his life.

This incident is due to the potentially dangerous anabolic steroid that is in Mass Destruction. Anabolic steroids are substances that are similar to male sex hormones. They are used in the athletic world to increase protein in the cells and stimulate muscle growth. However, they can be dangerous and have many short and long term side effects. These side effects may include: acne, high blood pressure, heart problems, increased risk for heart attack, liver disease, liver cancer, kidney damage, jaundice, joint pain, difficulty urinating, shrinking of the testicles and aggressive behavior. The FDA is currently undergoing an investigation of its ingredients.

Howard Sklamberg from the FDA says, ” Products marketed as supplements that contain anabolic steroids pose a real danger to consumers. The FDA is committed to ensuring that products marketed as dietary supplements and vitamins do not pose harm to consumers.”

Consumers who suspect problems after using a nutritional/dietary supplement should consult their physician immediately. Especially if experiencing, fatigue, discolored urine, back pain, abdominal pain. Any health changes that occur after taking Mass Destruction or any other nutritional supplement can be representative of a more serious health condition.

Mass Destruction is manufactured for Blunt Force Nutrition Inc., a privately held company located in North Carolina. According to the FDA, an investigation is underway to identify the manufacturer of the product, which is sold in stores, gyms, and online.
